剧组从导演徐超到几位男女主演都是上世纪八十年代生人，女主角淑惠的扮演者今年还不到20岁。男主角梁栋是个地地道道的青岛人，片中的对话也有不少青岛方言。这些年轻人希望通过影片让更多的人了解80后一代的生活状态。。故事发生在一间位于迈阿密的急症抢救中心内。马修（杰瑞米·诺森 Jeremy Northam 饰）在退役后来到了急症中心内，成为了这里新的一员。和马修一起工作的有马瑞索（拉娜·帕瑞拉 Lana Parrilla 饰）、克里斯托弗（迈克·沃格尔 Mike Vogel 饰）和赛琳娜（伊莉莎白·哈诺伊斯 Elisabeth Harnois 饰）等人。马瑞索是一个一心扑在手术室里的女强人，卡里斯托弗则和她恰恰相反，工作之余是一个作风放浪的花花公子。 每一天，急症室里都充斥着各种疑难杂症和突发事件，在这里，时间就等同于生命。无论这些医生们在日常生活中作风是如何的古怪，一旦穿上白大褂，他们便会化身成为手握生杀大权的天使。。A escaped prisoner kills the wife and son of a former sheriff, Matt Austin, who sent him to jail long ago. Austin rides in pursuit and locates his quarry in a small town saloon. During the ensuing gunfight, an innocent bystander is shot and the murderer escapes.
