邓思佳（葛兰 饰）是夜总会里万人仰慕的野玫瑰，她虽然风情万种仪态万千，但她的心从来都不属于任何人。一次偶然之中，邓思佳认识了琴师梁汉华（张扬 饰），两人之间产生了小小的误会，矛盾消除之后，梁汉华所展现出的正直和勇敢令邓思佳对他起了兴趣。 小刘（田青 饰）告诉邓思佳，梁汉华早有未婚妻吴素心（苏凤 饰），但邓思佳不为所动，她和小刘打赌，会在十日之内得到梁汉华的爱。就在邓思佳和梁汉华终于真心相见后，邓思佳的前夫独眼龙（唐迪 饰）半路杀出，惹出了一连串的麻烦连累梁汉华被捕入狱。出狱后的梁汉华决定同邓思佳一起生活，他不允许邓思佳重拾旧业，自己亦找不到工作，生活渐渐陷入了拮据之中。。Written by the director himself, the story revolves around an “absent” hero: an astronaut lost in the emptiness of space.
