该剧改编自三浦紫苑的小说《编舟记》。故事由杂志编辑岸边绿担任的人气时尚杂志惨遭废刊，本人被调动至辞典编辑部展开。池田饰演的是逐渐找到制作辞典的自豪感和价值的岸边，野田饰演的是无比热爱书、做事认真的辞典编辑部主任马缔光也。原作是以马缔为主人公，本剧将以岸边的视角描绘编辑部员们编纂辞典《大渡海》的奋斗。。周安是一家创业公司的老板，也是父母的乖乖子，和老婆算是青梅竹马相爱，走入结婚的殿堂，本来一家人其乐融融很幸福，但因为一直没有小孩，让他们的婚姻生活岌岌可危。。莱娜在父亲的阴影下每天过著地狱般的生活，她唯一来往的对象是旅馆同事穆法塔斯，莱娜从未答应但也没拒绝他的追求，痛苦的莱娜只想挣脱生活中的恶性循环；在城市的另一端，有位技师正为他刚过世的妻子哀伤，一只装有他妻子衣物的行李箱，竟出其不意地改变莱娜的命运… Because of her father's inappropriate behavior, Zeynep, a hotel housekeeper, spends hellish nights.
