周伟进城打工，房东大妈不幸病逝，好心帮忙的周伟被其女儿梅琳误解赶了出去，周伟只好露宿楼顶。梅琳是位京剧演员，与丈夫离异、事业不顺、生活坎坷，使她为人刻薄，但她对生活仍然充满希望。在楼顶周伟的帐蓬里她无意中读了周伟的日记，消除了对他的误会。周伟在朋友的帮助下，作起玻璃器皿的生意，梅琳热心的帮助周伟，她那种成熟女性特有的温柔和细腻深深地打动了周伟。由于年龄、性格的差异，两人之间经常发生矛盾，但每次都会从中迸出爱的火花，最终他们走到了一起。。とある田舎の小さな町。最近この町では不思議な事件が多発していた。 そこにやって来た妖怪園児「お・お・お・のしんのすけ」とその父、妖怪「タマタマ親父」。 家出してしまった母妖怪「ケツデカオババ」を探しているという。 町の小学生「桜ふみえ」が突然現れた謎の妖怪に襲われているところを助けるしんのすけ。 この二人の出会いが、小さな町の壮大な妖怪事件簿の始まりであった。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
