樱井广海（反町隆史 饰）曾是个成功的游泳运动员，且有望进军奥运会，却因为受伤不得不放弃运动生涯；铃木海都（竹野内丰 饰）曾是名企职员，且堪称业界精英，却因一次失误令公司蒙受损失。两个遭遇挫折的年轻人齐齐来到沙滩度假，入住同一家民宿。虽然都处在低潮期，但广海生性乐观，海都则内敛成熟，两人非常投缘，共同在海边的悠闲生活中找到大都市没有的淳朴和快乐，重拾对生活的信心。在民宿中，两人又结识了老板的孙女真琴（广末凉子 饰），三个年轻人，惺惺相惜的友谊，似有似无的爱情，终身难忘的回忆，不知不觉中，夏天就要结束了……。Nine-year-old Matthew finds a key to a magical world at the bottom of his grandmother's garden where he encounters the mystical Shadow people.。Joseph and Brenda have done what many only dream of and retired to the South of France to live out the rest of their days as if they were permanently on holiday.
