本片讲述自诩“扶耳魔刀”的石头村最年轻村干部魏大刀与五好村民花生在民风质朴的村庄中为村民解决滑稽搞笑、充满反转的小纠纷的故事。通过本片扶耳魔刀与村长着手处理的、村民间笑料百出的四个小纠纷，展现我国当代生活在偏远乡村的村民们淳朴善良的本性，以及他们积极乐观向阳而生的面貌。质朴的同时，又弘扬着同甘共苦精神的农民们，用智慧的头脑和勤劳的双手，创造了青山绿水美如画的乡村环境。对于至善的信仰，引发着他们积极发现身边事物之美。他们滑稽风趣中不乏诚实乐观，为的是倡导人们铭记传统并积极发掘身边真善美的人事物。。Tom Barnaby joins the Causton Chamber of Commerce trip to Brighton as he is suspicious of dodgy mayor Hicks' plan to buy coastal land on which to buy chalets. Also opposed to the plan is Lady Matilda William,who has had threatening letters, as have the local vicar, oily property developer Hugh Dalgleish and hotelier Jenny Russell.
