上天几乎将所有面相缺陷都集中在了文萃（容祖儿饰）身上，由此她经常被人嘲笑，但她并不介怀，认为只要努力进取，就能获得大家都认可。文萃在一间公关公司工作，本来做公关面容就十分重要，因次文萃在公司更是经常被同事嘲笑。文萃在公司默默耕耘了十年，凭着过人的毅力这日终于获得上司美达的晋升批准，但是接下来却祸从天降。公司被收购了，新进驻的上司少哲（郭晋安饰）居心险恶、讨厌丑人，他决定清除公司所有丑女。于是，文萃在其手下受尽蹂躏，更令文萃伤心的是，昔日的她真心对待的同事们、好上司美达都倒戈相向，无奈之下她只能离开了公司。 与此同时，连番打击接踵而来，文萃终于崩溃。在一次手术后文萃得了并发症陷入昏迷，昏迷中，死不瞑目的文萃用尽全力和上天讲数，而最终天神答应给她一个重返人间并变得美丽的机会，条件就是要她帮少哲完成心愿，文萃答应了。一觉醒来，文萃发现自己真的变了一个美...。A portrait of a formidable personality from the history of the cinema-the discoverer of Marlene Dietrich and the maker of The Blue Angel, The Scarlet Empress, Shanghai Express, Morocco, I, Claudius.。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
