描述1899年布尔战争开始时，罗伯特·马利奥特和妻子珍被征召前往战场，从此马家的命运与世界时局息息相关。1900年罗伯特荣归故里，但泰坦尼克号船难使长子丧生。1914年，第一次世界大战爆发，马家幼子奔赴战场，不幸为国捐躯。马利奥特夫妇历经时代的严峻考验，始终恩爱如初，也从未对国家失去信心。。Follows a group of friends who travel to a secluded campsite to film a documentary.
