正逢时代变革时期，中国百姓的思想开始发生极大转变，人们纷纷下海，急功近利，整个社会弥漫着一股躁动的气息。青年律师祝月（陈道明 饰）原本和身为医生的妻子过着平淡的生活，但是他空有一身才气，却在僵硬的体制内倍受倾轧。祝月年轻气盛，离开妻儿，绝走东京，希望有生之年有所成就。异国他乡，孤立无援，祝月辛苦打拼，却还受到心肠险恶的邱明海（葛优 饰）种种算计。在这个陌生的国度，同为天涯沦落人的他与女留学生白洁（阮丹宁 饰）无可挽回的萌生了爱情。这段不伦之恋注定没有结果，而万里淘金路又将有着怎样的结局？ 本片根据作家樊祥达的原著小说改编。。A rookie flyer, Ens.
